Editing Final Photos
I first edited the Levels on this photo to correct the exposure as the original photo was a little under exposed.
I then increased the saturation as the other photos had more saturation and they need to all look as apart of the same place.
For this photo, all i had to do was desaturate it a little bit so that there wasn't too much colour.
The first thing i did with this photo was desaturate it a bit to make the green less vibrant.
I also decreased the vibrance to do this more effectively.
Re-shot photos
This photo is effective as i like that the bottom left corner is in the light and the rest is in the shade, However the photo is vertical and it wouldn't fit in with the other photos for my final piece.
I like that this photograph is at an angle as it makes it look interesting, and like the last one i like that the bottom left corner is in the light as it gives the photo more composition.
This photo was over exposed and not in focus at all so this photo can not be used.
I think this photo works really well but i wanted to get more drips on the table around it. This is because on the photo i took first, there was crumbs on the table which was almost like a little trail of someone leaving.
I think the next photos are really effective as they are in focus and the fact that you can see a little bit of the background but its blurred makes the photo much more interesting. This is because the blur of the background gives the main subject of the photo more visual weight, but then when the viewer looks at the back, it makes them think about what is beyond what you can see in the photo. Also you can see that there is something else in the background of the photo on the right, and the fact that you don't know what it is and there is no way to find out makes the photo more interesting and mysterious.
Out of the four photos like this, i like this one the best, this is because the whole of the front is in focus and the cup rings are centered in the photo which makes them the main subject. Also this photo is more zoomed in which makes the photo clearer.
This photo is too blurred in the front to have worked.
Planning For Final Piece Photo
I like this photograph i took and i think it would work well for my final piece. This is because, unlike the other photos, there is no sign that person can still be there, for example, the photo of the half empty glass was really nice however, it gives the viewer sense that the person is still there as they haven't finished there drink. Also, the photo of the shoes by the door, it shows you that the people are still there because they wouldn't leave without their shoes. Whereas this photo has no sign of that, there isn't a cup or an object that the person could perhaps come back for.
For my final piece i am going to do a series of 3 photos. The First One is going to be the dinner plates left at the table after a family meal.
This photograph tells you a lot about who was there and how different the people who were there, are. Its in focus and its effective how all the plates were left differently.
The second photograph is going to be the photo of the bit of cake left on the childs plate.
This is because it shows dinner first and then desert and also the different people that are there, the childrens plate, showing that it was a child eating from this.
The third picture is going to be the table with the cup rings on it. However, i am going to re-shoot the photo so that it is more in focus. This is going to be the third photo because after dinner and desert, it shows that now everyone is gone.

Photoshop Edits
This is what the photograph looked like before i started to edit it. As you can see the background is very under-exposed.
I started off by editing the levels, to correct a bit of the background exposure.
I then corrected exposure, mostly gamma correction to correct the background exposure more and to make the levels in the whole photo look more equal.
Response Photos 'Someone Was Here'
These are the photos i took in response to William Eggleston and Mark Ruwedel.
This photo is a little blurred so the focus isn't accurate, however it makes the viewer question the photo and see that someone has been there.
I think this photo is quite effective, the marks on the cup show that someone has been there. Also the big '16' on the cup shows information about who was drinking from it. Supposedly a 16 year old girl.
I like the vibrant colours in this photograph, the plate gives the viewer information about who was there. Its shows that clearly there was a child there.
I like this photo, however, its a little dark and under exposed.
I really like this photo, i think the colours are really vibrant and interesting. However, i think the photo all together would be better if the glass was centred in the photo. I took it from a low angle to give the glass more height and importance.

Mark Ruwedel
I am going to research Mark Ruwedel as he had near the same intention that i have. For one of his projects, Ruwedel photographed objects that immigrants left between the borders of Mexico and America. He usually photographs landscapes but for that particular project that was exhibited in 'Exposed' he searched for the "Human in landscapes".
